BLAINE, Minn. (Nov. 7, 2013) — Charities and schools will be tapping into Minnesota’s philanthropic spirit on Thursday, Nov. 14 for the fifth annual 24-hour Give to the Max Day put on by GiveMN.
This year an emphasis will be put on giving through mobile devices and a new incentive structure.
Launched in 2009, GiveMN is a collaborative venture between the Minnesota Community Foundation and 14 other funders. Its goal is to transform philanthropy in Minnesota by growing overall giving and moving more of it online.
Since its start, GiveMN has facilitated more than $62 million in donations to 6,600 different Minnesota nonprofits and schools.
Nearly half of Minnesota’s residents say that GiveMN is their primary way of giving online. For more information, visit GiveMN.org.
