BLAINE, Minn. – (Jan. 15, 2016) – This week popular fast food chain Chick-fil-A opened their sixth Minnesota restaurant. The new location is in Blaine near Northtown Mall. The grand opening was early Thursday morning but many folks were already lined up on Wednesday morning for a special opening promotion. “The first 100 people that show up to our restaurant before [6:00 a.m.] tomorrow morning will get free Chick-fil-A for a year” said store manager Eric Krebs.
The “First 100” event takes place at every new Chick-fil-A opening and Jeremy Brandt of Blaine spent the last three month preparing for the event with the goal of getting the first spot in line. He arrived at 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning to secure the number one spot.
The cold weather isn’t bothering Brandt who has the perfect setup. “I’ve got an ice house here, I’ve got three heaters in there it is actually about 75 degrees in there right now” said Brandt.
Even if you were not one of the “First 100”, you can still get something free at Chick-fil-A all year long. “We are going to be giving away free breakfast for the rest of this year, every Tuesday morning for the entire year will be giving breakfast away for free” said Krebs.
The free breakfast promotion gives every customer one chicken biscuit sandwich. The free breakfast item will change from month to month.
