(ANOKA) – Anoka County Commissioner Mandy Meisner said the county is facing unprecedented challenges–just like all other municipal, county, state, and federal government bodies during the COVID-19 pandemic and related shutdown.
“As you can imagine, things change on a daily basis,” said Meisner in a remote interview with North Metro TV as part of its Conversations series.
She said a lot of smaller committee meetings have been scaled back or postponed altogether to remain safe and socially distant.
“The work that needs to be done–we are meeting, either by video or by social distancing,” Meisner said. “Services in tact is priority number one to our community.”
“A lot of us are questioning: what (are) essential services? What does that look like?” she said.
