FRIDLEY, Minn. – (Jan. 22, 2016) – The Lee Carlson Center for Mental Health and Well-Being is putting an emphasis on the well-being part of their mission this year. One way they plan to engage the community is through a lecture series that starts this week. “We are going to start by digging in around integrated mental health” said Lee Carlson Center Executive Director Rob Edwards. The first lecture will be given by Dr. Henry Emmons a psychiatrist who integrates mind-body and natural therapies, mindfulness and neuroscience into his clinical work.
The lecture series is designed for people from a variety of professional backgrounds. “Anyone who is providing mental health services in our larger community here in Anoka County will be interested” said Edwards
The first lecture in the series will take place on Jan. 27 at Bunker Hills Golf Course, the event will include a breakfast, one hour lecture and a chance to interact with the speaker following the lecture. If you miss the first lecture the next event in the series will take place in May. For more information about the lecture series click here.
