COON RAPIDS, Minn. – (July 10, 2015) – The walkway across the Coon Rapids Dam opened last week after being closed since 2013 for a reconstruction project. The walkway links the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park between the west and east sides of the river, linking Coon Rapids to Brooklyn Park. The reconstruction project updated water control gates and other structures to help prevent migration of invasive fish. Click here for more information on the project.
