COON RAPIDS, Minn. – (July 27, 2017) – Police are calling it arson. Playground equipment was burned to ashes at Delta Park in Coon Rapids causing thousands of dollars of damage.
The fire was put off after a neighbor living nearby spotted the fire and called the 911. Police suspect an accelerant was used to start the fire, but no one has come forward to the police with any information so far.
