BLAINE, Minn. – A Blaine man has been charged with criminal sexual conduct for allegedly touching an 8-year-old boy. Steven Howard Olson has been changed with second degree criminal sexual conduct after police were informed of an incident involving two young children.
On New Year’s Day the mother of the two children in question dropped the kids off at Olson’s home on 107th Avenue NE. According to the criminal complaint, when the mother came back to pick up her children the both told her they never wanted to go back. The 8-year-old boy began vomiting and experiencing dizziness, he then told his mother that Olson had put something in his juice box. The boy continue to tell his mother, and later police, that after drinking the juice box he fell asleep and when he awoke Olson was touching and pinching him on the buttocks and genital area.
A search warrant has been served at Olson’s residence and police are awaiting lab tests on the boy’s urine. If convicted, Olson could be sentenced to 25 years in prison.
