BLAINE, Minn. – A host of curling champions joined twelve commemorative curling teams, representing area businesses, police, fire, youth, and more, at a ribbon cutting event this week at Fogerty Arena. Fogerty celebrated the recent opening of both The Four Seasons Curling Club and the connected Gabe’s Rinkside Bar & Grill.
The 28,100 square-foot addition to Fogerty Arena was completed in January of this year. It houses six lanes for curling, and is the only year-round dedicated curling facility in North America. Year-round curling ice is hard to find across the globe, making this an likely training facility for elite athletes from around the world.
Grand opening festivities will continue through Sunday, April 7, with Gabe’s Rinkside Bar & Grill offering a nightly free appetizer buffet from 5 to 7 p.m., plus prizes.
