“It’s been a crazy year, we’re super excited to get back and playing,” Arzdorf said.
Arzdorf says there are some adjustments, like wearing a face-mask while playing. Even before players returned, he was urging them to work out at home with a mask on to get used to it. There will be fewer games than a normal season, and there’s only time for a few practices before the first game.
But Arzdorf says the lesson is to make the most of the opportunity.
“One thing this whole thing has taught us is to not take it for granted anymore,” said Arzdorf. “So now I think what this has taught us is things could be taken away. Life can change. And so let’s enjoy our opportunity here. Who knows what’s going to happen next week so let’s enjoy the opportunity that we have.”
The first games are allowed to resume on January 14. The Governor’s order also allows limited fans in the stands.
