(BLAINE) – Now that summer is here, some cities use a rotating sprinkling ban to limit water usage, and to make sure that the city’s water supply stays fully stocked. Each city creates its own policy on lawn sprinkling, and several of the policies may change during the summer, depending on precipitation and weather conditions.
For example, Blaine bans all lawn sprinkler systems between the hours of 10;00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from May 15 to September 15. Also, year-round, you may only water your lawn on odd-numbered days if your address ends in an odd number.
You can only water your lawn on even numbered days if you address ends in an even number. It can be a little confusing, so, before you set up your lawn sprinkler, it’s a good idea to check with your local city hall about days and times that its allowed.
