BLAINE, Minn. – (March 31, 2016) – A recent change to a city ordinance in Blaine requires all dogs to be on a leash any time they are off their owner’s property. But, soon dogs will have a space where they can run free once again. The city will open its first dog park later this year.
The 4.6 acre dog park will be located at Aquatore Park. The dog park will include a heated outdoor shelter. There will be a separate play area that will only be for small dogs. Additional amenities such as dog agility equipment could be added at a later date. The hope is for the dog park to be open by the end of June.
