ANOKA, Minn. – (January 29, 2015) – Thanks to a federal grant, more DWI enforcement will be coming to Anoka County. The Lino Lakes Police Department, Coon Rapids Police Department, and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office were three of the grant recipients state wide. The grant will cover a full-time officer dedicated to DWI enforcement and education, a squad for the officer, and safety equipment. Anoka County has been the second most dangerous county in the state for several years, in terms of accidents and deaths caused by drunk driving.
