WASHINGTON D.C. – (Jan. 19, 2017) – Congressman Tom Emmer (R-MN6) has been named to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) 2018 leadership team.
The NRCC supports the election of Republicans through financial contributions, technical and research assistance, and voter programs.
Chairman Steve Stivers (R-OH15) picked Emmer to serve as one of two deputy chairs of the committee. Emmer has worked to elect Republicans in Minnesota and across the county. He was an early supporter of Donald Trump for President.
Emmer’s work with the NRCC will focus on the organization’s future operations. Emmer represents the 6th District in Minnesota which covers most or all of Anoka, Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, Washington, and Wright counties.
Earlier this month Emmer was sworn in for his second term in the United States House of Representatives.
