ANOKA COUNTY. Minn. – If you’re looking for a way to make your own fresh food creations this summer, look no further than one of the many farmers’ markets in the area.
The market at St. Timothy’s Church in Blaine is open every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and every Tuesday from 2 until 5:30 p.m. They offer a variety of fresh produce, homemade jams, eggs, honey, cut flowers, and other specialty items.
The Lexington Farmers Market is located just one mile off of 35W North and serves as a community gathering place. In addition to providing fresh, locally grown, produce and plants, the market offers handmade goods crafted by local artisans as well as family events and live entertainment.
And finally, the market in Coon Rapids offers something for those of you with a sweet tooth. It begins July 17th from 3 to 6 p.m. and offers a variety of locally made sweet breads. Produce, fresh flowers, and Oriental and Asiatic Lilies are also available.
