HAM LAKE, Minn. – Wednesday morning began tragically in Ham Lake on Lexington Avenue and Lever Street. A fatal car accident left two people dead identified as Richard McGill and Deanna McGill. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and the Blaine Police Department responded to the scene along with the Ham Lake and East Bethel Fire Department’s.
The accident involved a Ford compact sedan and a Toyota SUV. The driver of the SUV sustained significant injuries, and was transported to HCMC. There were no known witnesses to the crash. The Minnesota State Patrol conducted a reconstruction of the crash scene and the case remains under investigation. Across the state 128 people have been killed on the roadways in 2013.
