ANDOVER, Minn. – (April 23, 2015) – The Minnesota Department of Agriculture will be holding a public meeting for residents to learn more about the Emerald Ash Borer infestation recently discovered in Anoka County.
The ash tree killing larvae were found late March in Ham Lake. The county is now under an emergency quarantine that aims to limit the movement of items possibly infected.
The meeting will inform residents about plans to deal with the insects and how community members can reduce the spread of the bug. There will also be an opportunity for residents to ask questions about the insect.
