Circle Pines has been doing a major road project like this one every other year beginning in 2008, and this is the final year of the decades-long plan to improve the roads and utilities in town.
“Over the course of the last fifiteen to twenty years, we’ve basically done every road in Circle Pines – water lines, sewer lines, gas lines, a full road, and a curb,” said Bartholomay.
Bartholomay says the planning for these projects began back in 2005, and he says it’s exciting to know that this will be the last major construction season for the project.
“It’s a good example of a community working togetherto find a common interest – which is taking care of your infrastructure.”
The hope is that with proper maintanence, these new roads will last fifty years.
