LINO LAKES, Minn. – (June 14, 2018) – The former manager of the Don Julio restaurant in Lino Lakes is heading to prison, after being convicted of criminal sexual conduct for an attack that took place at the restaurant this winter.
Simon Santiago Vicente, 34, was sentenced for the rape of a 20-year-old female. According to the criminal complaint, Lino Lakes police were dispatched to Don Julio’s just before midnight on February 18th. On the phone, dispatchers could hear the woman crying and saying no.
When police arrived, Vicente was found lying on top of the women in a booth. His records showed that he was HIV positive. He pleaded guilty to third degree criminal sexual assault and transfer of communicable disease. Vicente was sentenced to 62 months and 55 months in prison he will serve the terms concurrently.
Additionally, Don Julio’s received a $2,000 fine and a 10 liquor license suspension for serving an under age customer.
