(ANOKA) – Former Anoka County Commission Chair Margaret Landfeld died on April 6.
Langfeld served on the commission from 1982 to 2006. She was the first-ever woman elected chair.
She also was a Blaine City Council member, and also was the first-ever woman elected to that body.
Langfeld was co-founder of Alexandra House, Anoka County’s first domestic violence shelter.
Margaret Langfeld is survived She is survived by her husband Jim, her six children, 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was 76 years old.
