BLAINE, Minn. – A young pit bull was rescued this week, after he was brutally attacked by teenage boys in Blaine. A witness saw the boys punting the dog like a football and intervened, scaring the boys away.
Franco was brought to Secondhand Hounds in Minnetonka, where they found he had internal injuries, and possibly a bowel obstruction. The dog had no collar, no microchip, was sick with parvovirus, and could hardly stand up. His injuries have started to heal, and the rescue organization is hopeful that they will not have to perform surgery on him.
Donations are being accepted on Secondhand Hounds’ Facebook page.
