BLAINE, Minn. – (Oct. 7, 2013) – Do you have a new or gently used bike that’s just collecting dust in the garage? If the answer is “yes”, and you’d like to do something good for your community, bring your used bike to one of the 51 Allina Health sites around town this coming Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
“Free Bikes 4 Kidz” is a non-profit organization that provides bicycles to those kids most in need in our neighborhoods. Allina Health and other community volunteers will be on-hand at these locations across the Twin Cities Metro Area, accepting your donations. This is the third year in a row that “Free Bikes 4 Kidz” is teaming up with Allina Health in order to collect these bikes for many children throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. The bikes will then be donated to these kids in need, later on this fall.
