BLAINE, Minn. – (June 7, 2018)- Spring Lake Park Schools will once again participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Summer Food Service Program. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to all children ages 1-18 at Park Terrace Elementary School.
The program will run Monday-Thursday starting June 11 and ending Aug. 23. Breakfast will be available from 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. and lunch is available from 12:15 p.m.-1 p.m. Getting a meal doesn’t require an application, is open to all children ages 1-18, and is not limited to Spring Lake Park School’s students.
This is the eighth year the summer food service program is provided in Spring Lake Park Schools. The program is available from the USDA and is based on the number of students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. The purpose is to make meals available to area children who may otherwise not eat properly or often enough.
