BLAINE, Minn. – (Nov. 12, 2015) – The president of the Blaine charity Hope for the Community was honored at the most recent city council meeting in honor of Extra Mile Day. The city recognized Dr. Alan Goracke for going the extra mile. He has led the distribution of more than one million pounds of food to people in the community through Hope for the Community while at the same time, he serves on Blaine’s Planning Commission, Charter Commission, and Anoka County’s FEMA committee. More than 400 cities nationwide participate in Extra Mile Day.
