HAM LAKE, Minn. – (May 14, 2015) – A Ham Lake man could be spending the rest of his life behind bars after he was hit with multiple drug related charges. According to Anoka County court documents, after a lengthy investigation, which included undercover operations and two different confidential informants, police arrested 36-year-old Michael Robert Hanson. Hanson has been charged with five counts including both possession and the sale of methamphetamines.
According to the criminal complaint, on several different occasions Hanson was observed selling meth to a police informant. Police also were able to record audio of the interactions between Hanson and the informants.
Police executed a search warrant of Hanson’s address and located drug paraphernalia which tested positive for meth. Hanson was located the next day and taken into custody. A police K-9 discovered more drugs in the vehicle Hanson was standing next to when he was arrested. Hanson remains in jail.
