(HAM LAKE) – Ham Lake city leaders welcomed the resignation its longtime fire chief and interim city administrator and subsequently promoted the city clerk to the role of administrator at its meeting on June 17.
Don Krueger, who had worked for the city as fire chief for more than a decade, submitted his resignation. He had also been the interim city administrator.
“I want to say, publicly, I think, Don was a godsend for the city,” Mayor Mike Van Kirk said during the meeting. “He made the transition from our other city administrator of over 30 years absolutely seamless. His devotion and dedication to the city of Ham Lake has never wavered. He’s never not given 110 percent and it’s been a pleasure working with him.”
The city council also accepted the promotion of City Clerk Denise Webster to the role of administrator at the same meeting.
