(PRESS RELEASE) – Anoka County is conducting a transit needs study and is reaching out to area businesses
and residents –– people who use transit and those who do not –– for feedback.
Those who complete a survey for the study here , can enter a drawing to win a $100 gift card to a local retailer of their choosing. The survey will be available until the end of September. The study will evaluate the current state of transit in Anoka County; identify gaps and barriers to mobility; identify and
quantify county resources used to provide transportation services; identify future transportation needs; and recommend strategies to address those needs.
The study will also assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on area transportation services.
“Community feedback and engagement is important to this project’s success,” said Scott Schulte, chair, Anoka County Board of Commissioners. “The public has a voice in transportation
decision making.”
