BLAINE – The Anoka County Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 3230 101st Ave. NE, Blaine, will reopen June 1 with new hours: 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
With new social distancing requirements, material must be placed in your vehicle’s trunk, bed or trailer for staff to safely remove. Transport items in an upright position to prevent spills or damage. At the facility, some material may require additional instructions.
For proof of residence, have a driver’s license or identification card ready. Materials are accepted from residences in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, and Washington counties. Materials from businesses, organizations or schools will not be accepted.
At no charge, residents may bring aerosols, ammunition, driveway sealer, fluorescent bulbs, motor oil, paint, paint stripper/thinner, pesticides, pool chemicals, propane tanks and sharps. Also accepted are products labeled with “caution,” “warning,” “danger,” “poison,” “combustible,” “corrosive,” “flammable,” “inflammable” or “toxic.” The facility does not accept appliances, electronics, garbage, or tires.
