BLAINE, Minn. – (July 7, 2016) – A special car stopped in Blaine this week. A 2016 Ford Shelby GT350 is traveling across the country for a four month tour. Along the way, the High Five Tour is raising money for Wounded Warriors Family Support.
“The purpose of the High Five Tour is to travel the lower 48 contingent states so that good American folks can sign the vehicle and thank our combat wounded troops and military in general for their services for our country” said volunteer driver Craig Beckley.
This is the 7th annual High Five Tour. This stop at Edgewood Senior Living is one of more than 100 stops the tour in making in 48 states.
“This is the 7th state we’ve been in since we left Sacramento, and just the people that we’ve met Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and then North Dakota, the warmth and hospitality that’s been extended to the High Five Tour as just been tremendous,” said Beckley.

Everyone is attendance was invited to show their support for military families by signing the tour vehicle with a message of support to our country’s veterans and their families.
The tour has a goal of raising $1 million to provide programs to combat wounded veterans and their families.
“Wounded Warriors Family has several programs where that money will benefit and 100% of the proceeds on this tour go to different programs whether its respite care for a wounded veteran in a home or respite care for the family in general, family vacations so they can get back together and get that family bond back,” said Beckley.
