BLAINE, Minn. – (Nov 5, 2015) – The real estate market in Anoka County is outperforming the Twin Cities for fall sales this year. According to the Regional Multiple Listing Service of Minnesota, the Twin Cities region as a whole is experiencing an active fall real estate market with home sales continuing a 10-year record rate in September, and Anoka County is leading the way.
September sales in Anoka County closed at 16% greater than last year compared to 12% for the rest of the Twin Cities area. Median sales price also grew 11.4% in Anoka County compared to 8.3% for the rest of the metro. Homes are also selling faster-on average at 54 days compared to an average of 65 for the rest of the Twin Cities. The number of homes being put on the market in Anoka County is less than in 2014, but the number of homes that have been bought has risen.
