SPRING LAKE PARK, Minn. – (Jan. 25, 2018) – The Hy-Vee in Spring Lake Park is one step closer to reality. Earlier this month, the city council approved the final plat approval which calls for a 76,000 square-foot store and an 8,700 square-foot coffee shop, gas station, and convenience store building.
The store will be located in the northeast corner of the intersection of Highway 65 and 81st Avenue.
As a part of the final plat approval, a traffic study will be completed and if certain road improvements are needed it will be Hy-Vee’s responsibility to provide the funding.
The city-owned Central Park Liquor will close after liquidating its inventory and the new Hy-Vee store will have a liquor store. The final plat approval was the last city approval that Hy-Vee needed before construction can begin.
At this point Hy-Vee has not announced a construction timeline.
