ANOKA COUNTY, Minn. – (Sept. 28, 2017) – As we enter the fall months, Anoka County reminds its residents to keep their leaves out of the street.
The phosphorus in the leaves creates water quality problems when it gets into the storm sewer. You can mulch the leaves right into your lawn, or bag them up and bring them to an area compost site.
There are two compost sites in Anoka County. One at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids and another at Rice Creek in Lino Lakes.
More information is available on the Anoka County website.
