ANOKA, Minn. – After being on the run for nearly a week, a police fugitive was found in Anoka County. Last week, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety issued an alert saying that Dennis Wayne Aasen, 39, kidnapped a woman from Pope County. The kidnapped woman was found later that same night, wounded and walking on the side of the highway. However, her abductor, and former boyfriend, was still on the loose.
This week, Aasen was spotted in a car in Anoka County and arrested without incident. He was transported back to Pope County where he could face charges of kidnapping, assault, burglary, auto theft and more.
