(ST. PAUL) – The fight for water rights and restrictions in one part of Lino Lakes continues at the highest levels of state government.
This week, the Minnesota Court of Appeals ruled the Department of Natural Resources was okay to remove water pumping restrictions within five-mile radius of White Bear Lake in Ramsey County. That would impact a few wells the City of Lino lakes operates and homeowners may draw from in the southeast corner of the city.
A DNR study late last year found that the lake was back to sustainable levels after years of drought.
The White Bear homeowners who sued vow to appeal this latest decision to the Minnesota State Supreme Court.
