BLAINE, Minn. – Lexington Avenue between Main Street in Blaine to Bunker Lake Boulevard in Ham Lake will close to traffic this week. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19th, drivers will have to take an alternate route. This section of road is scheduled to be closed for reconstruction until August 2013.
Key components of this project include widening this stretch of roadway to a divided six and four-lane highway with dedicated turn lanes, a new paved pedestrian trail, storm water treatment ponds, new traffic signal at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Bunker Lake Boulevard, and reconstruction of the existing traffic signal at Lexington Avenue and Main Street.
