BLAINE – Anoka County Library began offering video games for check out this week. The collection is starting small, with 18 games for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
“We’re hoping that it will draw in some people who wouldn’t otherwise use the library,” said youth services librarian Sarah Sexton. ” One they’re in, we get to show them all the other cool things we have.”
This addition comes after other new offerings, including “hobbies in a box” and board games.
The video game collection is kept at Johnsville Library. A few games were not checked out immediately, but most have holds on them already.
