LINO LAKES, Minn. – (Aug. 20, 2015) – Fire service in Lino Lakes is now planned to start in December instead of January. Lino Lakes has been planning on leaving the Centennial Fire District for more than a year and a half, and during that time they have been building a fire station, buying equipment, and training staff.
Now, they are planning on having their service operational, one month earlier than expected. Their official start date and separation from the Centennial Fire District remains in January, but Mayor Reinert announced at a recent council meeting that they plan on having firefighters respond to calls in December.
