LINO LAKES, Minn. — (Dec. 5) — The cities of Lino Lakes and Lexington are adding a little competition to this year’s holiday season. They will have their own holiday lighting and decorating competitions open to their residents.
Judging for Lexington’s contest will take place on Dec. 8, and winners will be notified by the city. Prize funds have been donated by the Lexington Fire Relief Association.
This will be Lino Lakes’ first year of its competition, “Light Up Lino Lakes,” which is free and open to both residents and businesses alike. Among the categories are best street or road and best individual house.
In Lino Lakes entries are due by Thursday, Dec. 12 and judging will take place the week of Dec. 16. Winners will be notified by e-mail on Dec. 20, and will receive a yard sign saying they won.
