LINO LAKES – Three people were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property after what police suspect was looting at the Minneapolis Kmart. Early Saturday morning, Lino Lakes police saw a car at the Holiday station on Lake Drive. The entire area was under the curfew order that night, so the officer
checked on the situation, and found three people in the car: Amy Mitchell, Coleman Weous, and Tyler Wind. They said they had been in Minneapolis.
The two men were bloody, and the driver admitted to not having a license. Inside the car was more than $3,000 of merchandise, much of it with Kmart price tags still attached. The only Kmart still open in the state is in Minneapolis on Lake Street. There were also more than 100 packs of cigarettes and cigars and a dozen glass pipes.
The suspects said they did not know where all the stuff came from and they could not provide receipts.
