“This one is geared toward leadership,” said chamber president Lori Higgins. “This one has a variety of leadership books, or business-related books, or motivational books – really to bring that leadership element to employers.”
And Higgins said that helping with leadership skills is as important now as ever.
“Businesses – more than ever – are facing a really unique set of challenges post-pandemic. We’ve got workforce shortages, employee burnout, inflation, supply chain issues – there’s no playbook for what’s going on right now and how businesses should move forward.”
She hopes these books will help not just chamber members, but anyone in the community to understand the complexities of leadership.
“It is a big topic. You’ve got so many types of leadership,” said Higgins. “So to see it be put in practice like this, and have a small piece in moving it forward is very meaningful to me.”
The library is open to anyone – regardless of chamber membership. It’s in the Metro North Chamber office: 9380 Central Ave NE #320 in Blaine. The office is open 8AM – 4PM Monday through Thursday, and 8AM to noon on Friday.
