ST. PAUL, Minn. – One result of the recently completed legislative session is that several area cities saw their local government aid restored. Thirty-one cities in total who received no local government aid in the current budget will now receive some level of funding in the next biennium.
In North Metro TV’s viewing area, two cities will see a new revenue stream from the state. Centerville will receive just over $53,500 and Spring Lake Park will receive $291,500.
Funding for other cities in the area that are currently receiving LGA will remain stable.
