LINO LAKES, Minn. (August 1, 2013) -– A major road in the area will soon be closing for construction. Main Street in Lino Lakes will close on August 8, and will remain closed for about two weeks. Crews will be working on the road as it winds through the Chain of Lakes area.
Although the closure is small – only from Park Road E to the Wargo Nature Center – the detour takes drivers much further, because they have to navigate around all of the lakes. The recommended detour route takes drivers south on Lake Drive, then onto Hodgson Road and Birch Street, before turning north again on Centerville Road.
If the weather cooperates, the road should be open again by Saturday, August 24.
