ANOKA COUNTY, Minn, – (Sept. 17, 2015) – A man who was already facing six felony drug charges just this year is now facing two more. Joshua Craig Laferriere was arrested last week after being pulled over by police for having license plates that didn’t match. In the car, the officer saw a digital scale and a bolt cutter. The scale had a white residue on it that appeared to be meth.
While searching his car, officers found 11 grams of meth, more than $4,700 cash, two digital scales, and documents indicating that he was selling meth. Eight years ago, he was convicted of a first degree drug charge. This week he was charged with intent to sell and second degree possession. If convicted, these charges come with minimum prison time of seven years.
