COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, Minn. – March 8, 2013 – Alberto Prece Palmer, 23, was charged this morning in Anoka County District Court with murder in the second degree.
According to the criminal complaint, Palmer murdered Brittany Clardy on or about February 11, 2013. Palmer has several outstanding felony warrants for assault and kidnapping from Georgia.
Anoka County District Court Judge Sharon Hall set unconditional bail for Palmer at $2,000,000. Palmer’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 10 at 1pm.
“From all the evidence in the complaint, Palmer appears to be a very dangerous man,” said Tony Palumbo, Anoka County Attorney.
“While nothing we do can bring Brittany Clardy back, we can and intend to hold accountable the person who took her life. It is a sad day for Brittany’s family and we will seek justice for her,” said Palumbo.
