COON RAPIDS, Minn. – (March 10, 2016) – Mercy Hospital has been named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics, a leading provider of hospital quality and performance data used to measure the performance of more nearly 3,000 hospitals in the United States.
This is the fifth time Mercy has been named a Top 100 Hospital.
“It is certainly rewarding to have the exceptional care and service of the Mercy team be recognized among the nation’s top hospitals, but what really drives our caregivers’ passion for excellence every day is their commitment to be the very best for our community and patients,” said Sara Criger, senior vice president, north region, Allina Health, and president of Mercy Hospital.
“The Truven award reinforces that we are living our mission of serving our community by providing exceptional care,” Criger said.
The Truven study identifies hospitals and leadership teams that provide the highest level of value to their communities, based on a national balanced scorecard measuring overall organizational performance across 11 key analytic measures.
“The 2016 100 Top Hospitals award winners represent the highest national standards in hospital care and management. They set the benchmarks for peers around the country to follow,” said Jean Chenoweth, senior vice president at Truven Health Analytics.
