ANOKA, Minn. – (Nov. 12, 2015) – Minneapolis Public Schools is the states third largest district, and their search for a new leader has led them to the north metro. Jinger Gustafson is an associate superintendent in the Anoka-Hennepin School District, and she has been named one of six semi-finalists for the Superintendent post in Minneapolis. Gustafson focuses on middle schools, special education, health services, Title IX and mental health in Anoka-Hennepin. Of the six finalists only two are from Minnesota, Gustafson and Michael Goar who is serving as interim superintendent in Minneapolis. The school board will interview the six candidates on November 16 and 17. Three finalist will be chosen and the board is expected to make a job offer in December. The new superintendent would take over the district next summer.
