The Minnesota Moose are part of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), a league that was created to help young hockey talents reach their goal of playing collegiate hockey. Many of the players on the Minnesota Moose are 16-21 years old and come from across the nation.
Many players on their team move on to play in Divisions I to III after playing with the Minnesota Moose, they have a page dedicated to showing their players advancing to collegiate hockey. In the past five years the Minnesota Moose has had 80 advancements in their program move on to NAHL, NCDC, NCAA D1 & D3 and ACHA D1.
“They are all 16-21 year old kids trying to make their way to college hockey. It’s great to see them want to move up and learn more in college while also trying to achieve their hockey goals,” said Nic “Duke” Leibold, Minnesota Moose assistant coach.
Leibold also said the team is very happy to see fans sitting in the stands and to pay it forward the team has volunteered over 800 hours since 2019 to different events around the community. Recently, the Minnesota Moose and Spring Lake Park, Blaine, Mounds View Fire and Police Departments helped raise 56,000 pounds of food 41st Annual Santa Parade and Food Drive.
The Minnesota Moose play 44 regular season games with two showcases that play four games each. Most of the Minnesota Moose games are played outside of Fogerty Arena but you can catch check their upcoming schedule here. The next home game will be on Jan. 6, where the Moose will take on the Isanti Outlaws.
