DES MOINES, Iowa — This week, in the second round of the tournament, the Stars defeated the Des Moines Menace at Valley Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. From here they go on to face MLS team Real Salt Lake.
While the match between the Stars and Real was originally slated to be held in Blaine, it has been moved to the home stadium of Real in Utah. Real Salt Lake is the 2009 MLS Cup champion and is currently the best overall team in the MLS with a record of eight wins, two ties, and three losses.
