(BLAINE) – A three-year project that impacts hundreds of thousands of drivers in the North Metro every day will begin on Interstate 35W.
MnDOT will begin periodic lane closures on 35W between County Road C in Roseville and Lexington avenue in Blaine.
There will also be some ramp closures that could impact commutes beyond possible slower traffic on 35.
The ultimate goal after three construction seasons of closures and construction will be a new MnPass lane on that stretch of 35, similar to the recent additions and improvements on 35E between Vadnais Heights and Lino Lakes.
MnDOT has several websites up that show these closures and the expected timelines.
