Blaine, Minn. – (May 25, 2017) – The City of Blaine is giving area residents an option close to home to get fresh produce and unique items. A weekly farmers market will be held at Blaine City Hall.
The outdoor market will take place every Wednesday until mid-October. This week shoppers could get anything from duck eggs to pierogies.
“It started with the success of the indoor markets this winter, and so that’s where we got a start in the following a lot of our vendors were at that,” said market coordinator Ann Ringgold.
Products Offered
Other items included fresh flowers, handmade chocolates, made from scratch sauces, and locally sourced meats. Shoppers who return often will get to see the market change with the seasons and will reap some extra rewards.

“We have all different things, we start off with having fruits and vegetables seasonally, and flowers and fresh eggs, we have a certified organic farmer. Every week we may have something a little bit different cause some of our vendors are part-time, so today we have almost all of our vendors so we are quite excited and it’s good. We have a frequent shopper program that you sign up for, and every five times that you shop with us you will receive a gift,” said Ringgold.
