ANOKA, Minn. – (Sept. 15, 2016) – As a part of comprehensive safety and traffic improvements to Highway 10, a large median barrier is being installed through Anoka. The three-quarter mile stretch of road between Fairoak and Thurston will soon have a barrier that will prevent pedestrians from running across the busy roadway.
In the last few years, four people have died while attempting to cross Highway 10, and officials hope that this new median will make pedestrians cross safely at traffic signals.
